Well thought out request @huwfee and I agree with @Maarten that this is similar to the Mono Track many have requested in the past. See this thread: Feature request - MONO Sequencer Type - #6 by Steeldust
Of note, in this thread @Maarten mentions the idea of a velocity view for this proposed Mono mode, similar to velocity view in Drum tracks, where you could quickly change velocity of each step using the grid. I do like the idea of setting all accents to a set velocity using a knob, but also like the idea of being able to have varried accents using a velocity view or setting velocity on a per step basis using a knob.
So @huwfee i think what you’ve laid out here is a really solid design for the proposed Mono Track. I hope we see it implemented in the next firmware.
