I was wondering if we could get an advanced Swing feature that is similar to the Groove Pool that is available in Ableton
Extra bonus points: One thing Ableton does is to “extract” groove from Audio - it would be incredible to be able to import that extracted groove into the Hapax for applying midi tracks.
I don’t think an “algo” applies to this - I think it’s more of a new effect that references a set of config files or definitions that capture the various grooves.
This is such a niche thing, I’d rather see them adding/improving more fundamental things first, like 16 drum lanes per track, a fold option (hide unused note lanes), improve the pScale feature (some scales are missing, allow vertical scrolling per note and don’t disable the top row).
It’s not at all a niche thing on a sequencer.Even the little Torso T1 has this actual feature. The way a sequencer can swing/groove notes can define it - see MPC, SP1200..etc.
