The Euclid effect currently overrides the gate length of notes. It would be great to have an option where the Euclid effect simply “opens and closes” like a VCA, such that an active note at the input gets a NOTE ON at the leading edge of an active Euclid step and a NOTE OFF at the next inactive Euclid step. Permit all incoming NOTE ON and NOTE OFF messages to pass unaffected while the VCA is open. This kind of gating effect would allow much more dynamic phrasing.
Bonus option to accompany VCA mode: Legato ON/OFF. Legato OFF would generate a quick NOTE OFF then NOTE ON for held notes at the boundary between two active steps. Legato ON would not, thus allowing a note to be held across active steps.
