Totally agree that the chord mode in its current state feels uninspiring. Would love to see a chord memorizer and improved ARP, similar to what the Cthulhu VST from Xfer has.

Would love to have a few pads on the “right / top side” of chord mode to play the notes that are in the chords, or some way to play the chords (easy) in the live mode.
This is how stuff like the “theoryboard” does it, you play the chord with 1 button on your left hand, while you can jam out notes in the scale/chord with the right hand :slight_smile:

Suggested as feature last year but If i remember it was not wanted :frowning:

I’m not sure what Squarp has in store for an improved Chord Mode but this sounds like a good use of the unused space if there isn’t already plans for it.

have feature requested previously but felt like a natural spot to be able to input one-button custom chords a la the feature in Pyramid’s live mode where you could make one of the eight assignable pads any chord from an external keyboard

Hi folks,

We’ve been working on two new chord modes, and they’re now ready for testing. I’d like to share them with some of you, as you’ve contributed to the discussion on this topic and may find them particularly interesting.

As this is still a fairly early prototype, I’d appreciate it if you could share your feedback either in this thread or by email, and refrain from sharing the build for the time being.

The version comes with a manual to help you understand how the new modes work.

Let me know if you’d like to participate, and I’ll send everything over shortly.
