External cv clock

I’m syncing to an external cv clock. Hapax follows, but it doesn’t display the actual tempo it’s receiving.

Is this normal?

Maybe it is related to the CV CLOCK DIV. Setting?

No, it turns out that when Hapax is set to CV sync, it works in a “step advance” mode, and doesn’t interpret the tempo. It’s because the incoming clock pulses don’t even have to be consecutive, i.e. they could form a pattern (e.g. xxxxxoxoxxxxxoxoxxxxxoxo).

One more thing to better explain this.

Hapax can sync to CV pulses as slow as 1 ppqn, meaning one clock pulse per quarter note. Each pulse will trigger four 16th-note steps, with the Hapax’s internal tempo setting controlling the speed of these steps.
