I recently got one of these also. It’s super configurable and I (finally) have a decent clock/reset/run set up… plus 4cv and 8+ spare gates 
the manual seems to indicate it only receives data from one midi channel and can only respond to midi CCs. Were you able to configure it to output 1v/oct note pitch and note on gates on different midi channels?
