I am trying to send gates to act as drum triggers, to trigger a kick drum sample on a pad on the 1010 Bitbox Mk2 sampler.
This is easy to do, by connecting a patch cable from gate out on channel 1 of Hermod+, to the input for the pad with the sample loaded on Bitbox.
However, I also want to send velocity levels so some of the kick drum hits are quieter. I thought I could set the Hermod+ track layout to ‘One voice - velocity + gate’, and this would send velocity info via the connected cable from gate out to Bitbox in. But this doesn’t seem to send velocity info by the sound of it.
Have I made a very basic mistake here? I’m trying to send all info via 1 cable as there’s only 1 input for each pad on the Bitbox.
