Hi, I’m trying to get my Rample to change kit upon a pattern play.
It doesn’t seem to apply the PC once the pattern plays though.
Am I doing something wrong? Forgetting a setting?
I’m setting PC to 1 which = A and MSB to 9 the number of the kit. It will only change sometimes when I select apply and launch.
Never on pattern play though.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
We’re currently reworking this system and working on better documenting it also, because the way it currently works is just confusing.
Hapax tries not to send the same PC multiple times in a row, which is the right thing to do most of the time, but sometimes isn’t. You may want to try to press STOP twice in a row to “reset” everything.
The current lack of documentation regarding when PCs are (sent / not sent / re-sent) is also part of the problem, and turns what is supposed to be a helpful feature into a head-scratcher.
TL;DR: next firmware update / manual update should address this issue.

We’ve just released a public beta for 2.03, which includes an overhaul of this system, which hopefully clarifies the behaviour.
The manual for the beta also includes a new section on pattern PC
Ok, it’s a process but I think I got it to work by setting one of the settings to always. Thank you guys for the work. I’ll be studying the manual for finer points.
That’s great to hear, I’ve posted about some issues with PCs and when they were being sent. Have been using workarounds to force PC when I need them. Just looked at the beta manual, the new changes seem to fix those problems. Looking forward to trying it out.
@Thibault_Squarp Followup question, do you know if these changes will also affect when CCs are being sent, for example the default CC value in a automation lane. I’ve posted before about that, seems like a similar issue?
Partially, but the matter of “fallback values” in general is on our radar.
