I don’t even know if this would be possible with the Hapax’s hardware, but if we could write and sequence connected DMX lights would be incredible. Being able to do DAW-less light shows is something I’ve been longing for but have never found a good solution. Probably a long shot, but who knows!?
I haven’t tested any first-hand, but I know there are a number of MIDI-to-DMX converters out there, software and hardware, all with their MIDI implementation which translate to DMX commands.
I’m sure with one of those and an Instrument Definition, you should be able to get somewhere
Some friends are about to release this module.
I think it’s a game changer in MIDI/Eurorack to DMX interfacing. I have it in beta and I love it! simple, powerful and almost limitless
My band uses one of these to convert MIDI to DMX.
They’re pretty expensive new, but they (sometimes) pop up used for much less.

A lot of things that have MIDI inputs and DMX ouputs merely allow you trigger a specific DMX scenes, but the DECABOX allows you to use MIDI note or CC information to target specific DMX values on specific DMX devices, giving you granular control over every thing the DMX fixture can do, instantly.
I’ll definitely look into some of these options. Thanks!
