Copy and paste midi from one track to another track without replacement

How to copy and paste a midi pattern from one track on top of another track without replacing the original track? When I try this the original pattern is replaced.

Useful for writing the right hand piano part first, then left hand afterwards which would be pasted on top. This way we have one track with both left/right hand parts rather than two. Also useful for layering drum parts.

I assume you are trying to Copy/Paste at the Track level.
Try Copy/Pasting the Events from Step Mode perhaps…?

copy n’ paste at step level is addititive.
