Chaos with an OB12!

First jam with the Pyramid and an Oberheim ob12

Some weirdness happening with this combo

Th ob12 is in multi mode, 4 parts on channels 1 -4. 3 tracks on the pyramid playing just the 1st 3 ob12 parts.

There is a kik on chan 1, plays fine on its own, when track 2 plays (on midi chan 2), the timing on the kik and its sound changes and gets glitchy and sounds awefull. If I mute track 2 the kick sounds fine again.

Just cant work out why this happening

Any ideas? Im starting to think the pyramid is faulty at this stage.os is 4.1

It could be the ob12 but checked all the settings on the ob12 and they are correct

Tried changing ob12 part 2 and track2 to midi chan 11,same problem

Maybe there is some kind of midi feedback loop going on

Or track 2 has some info that is transmitting on chan1??

there is a midi monitor on the pyramid , a good way to check to see you are getting what you expect…

also make sure local is OFF on the ob12.
(there are some anti echo features on the pyramid, but its much better/more predictable to use with local OFF on synth)

The local is off on the ob12. I will check that midi monitor to see if there is a problem i can spot there.

Chances are its probably the ob12 at fault
