Loving my new HAPAX… it only took a few days to figure everything out, but haven’t found an answer for this use-case. Hopefully there’s a simple solution:
I have all my synths and controllers (and the HAPAX) connected to Logic Pro on a MacBook Pro via a powered USB hub. I also have them all connected to the HAPAX via 5-pin DIN cables to the three DIN outputs and daisy-chained via midi thru ports where available, and one keyboard controller into the single DIN input. This way I’m able to use either LP or HAPAX as my main brain for any given session, and it works fine.
But now I find myself wanting to have bi-directional connections between the Hapax and the synths for note and CC automation recording, so USB between them all would be ideal.
Besides plugging/unplugging the USB hub into one of either the HAPAX or MacBook each time I switch modes, is there a way via software or hardware I could use to switch back and forth between HAPAX and LP as a host for the synths over the same USB hub and cables?
