Does the Hapax have a Live Play mode where each of the 128 pads corresponds to a different MIDI note without duplication? The manual seems to suggest that “chromatic mode” is structured more like a guitar-style layout, where many notes are repeated rather than covering a full linear range. The example in the manual shows C5 to C8 as the playable range, which seems quite limited given the number of pads available.
I’d like to know if there is a way to configure the pads to cover a full 88+ note range at once (e.g., C0 to C8) without octave repetition. Since there are 128 pads, it seems this should be possible, but I can’t tell if this functionality has been implemented.
Is there a setting, firmware feature, or workaround that allows full keyboard-style access to all notes in real time? Thanks in advance for any insights!
