Hi there, I’m not only new to the forum, but also got into Synth again after some decades 
I read most of the Osmose posts here and tried out a lot, but I cannot get the Osmose to playback anything coming from Hapax.
I use DIN MIDI out A, an MPR Track and recording from Osmose into Hapax works - using DIN MIDI in (I tried USB as well - nothing as well). If I replay the track, the MIDI Monitor shows messages on various channels going out (as it should be I guess), but I cannot get Osmose to produce any sound. I tried a lot of settings on the Osmose, but I would very much appreciate a hint from someone, where this does work. Or is it still like it’s not possible at all? I do have the 2.13 Firmware…
Any help much appreciated!

Cant help you out with any help or suggestions but i feel your pain. When i first got started there were some new pieces of equipment which i had similar problems with but you will get there in the end. Hopefully someone using that equipment can help you out

Not working. My feature request is quite old and nothing seems to be moving there.
What works, but doesn’t make full use of Osmose Features is just sending on Midi Channel 01. Use Midi CC74 for Pressure and Midi CC12-17 for Synth parameters.
For me it works currently best with Cirklon that bruteforce records everything on all channels and plays it back.
Lacks a bit resolution, but better than nothing.
Else you have to use Ableton Live (or other Daw that supports it) - i’m not aware of any proper solution in Hardware for this.

Yes - disappointing. Nevertheless: even if I send on Channel 01 only (no MPE), no success. Where do I define the CC’s beeing sent? Do I need an instrument definition for that? Thanks again!
CCs are setup under automation. (blue button on the right side) Please check manual.
If Osmose doesn’t react to Ch01 check under settings (on Osmose) Din Mode and set it to 2/5 dsp in
Both MPE recording and playback worked for me:
- USB Host mode on Hapax for Osmose-to-Hapax over USB
- MIDI out A for the Hapax-to-Osmose MIDI DIN in
The Midi out A and MIDI Din in I tried. USB I tried as well… no luck.
@diskhat Would you mind telling me the exact settings on both devices for the relevant parameters?
You are using both connections USB and MIDI at the same time (maybe one recoding, one playback)? Thanks for helping out!

I cannot confirm that it’s working for USB-Mode.
It does record something, but playback is not recognized by Osmose.
USB-Mode is not useable, as it’s not accessing USB-port 2 of Osmose and it’s missing configuration for channel range, wich is very important for Osmose.
For Midi-Din it works , also recording and playing back as MPE. (but of course in lower resolution)
My Osmose is still out on loan for a few weeks, I’ll check on the settings when it’s back and update here.
(Settings tweaks were all on the Osmose side, Hapax was plug and play)

Or is something about the settings for Din not clear?
Did you get it for a simple Sequence on Ch01 working yet?
