Bank select Program change

HI Newbie here. Please can someone explain to me how to set up and send bank select and progam change messages to my Nova 11 and Hydrasynth. Ive read the manual, Ive gone onto the pattern and put in my bank select into LSB and my programe number into MSB but nothing happens. Im completly flumoxed. Its so easy on my Akai Force :grimacing:

From memory once input on the pattern you either retrigger the pattern to fire the patch change message (you may need to select another pattern slot and then go back and retrigger the edited slot)

Or you push down the left encoder which you’ve edited the numbers with and then choose apply and send from the overlay menu I always get this wrong and reset what I’ve done. It does work though once you get used to it.

I’ve got a Hydrasynth, not there now but try all three of the LSB MSB and patch as one does the bank and the other does the patch and one does both but I forget which. It does work though.

Thanks, I will give your suggestions a go. It’s about te only thing I’ve come across that is implemented better on the Akai Force. I can live with that as everything else about the Hapax is great.

Got it working on the Hydra fine. The Nova is weird. It only works for favourites. I suspect it’s some strange assignment thing on the Nova, it is an old synth, so I may need to study the manual.
