Hello, I just received my Hapax this morning via mail, but my friend forgot to include the power outlet. I googled, and it seems that there is no way to power the device via USB. I looked into the specs, and it’s a 15V DC - 1.2A running on 18W. Has anyone ever used an alternative power supply? If so, is there any possibility of damaging the device while using an alternative adapter, it could be a whole week since I get the original power supply here?
If you make sure the PSU is decent quality, it outputs the same voltage, the same current (1.2 amps in your case) and it has the same polarity (+ on the inside and - on the outside), you should be fine. By “decent quality” I mean the output is stable and the unit isn’t janky, cheaply built and/or prone to catching fire.
