The idea was to explore a trance / psytrance-oriented sound, combining hardware sequencing, synth textures, rhythmic elements and live manipulation.
This was one of my first live hardware sessions with this particular setup, so there are a few imperfections. But that’s also part of the experience: having a prepared structure while keeping enough freedom to shape and evolve the track in real time.
The HAPAX is absolutely amazing. It still takes some time to get used to, as I’m gradually discovering its workflow and possibilities. But even at this stage, it already opens up a lot of doors for live performance and electronic music production.
The main goal was to test the setup, experiment with the workflow, and see how far I could push it towards a live trance / psytrance performance.
I’d love to hear your thoughts, feedback, or tips — especially from anyone using the HAPAX in a trance or psytrance live setup.
