I’m a long time keyboard player that took a left turn to the land of rock about 15 years ago when I decided to start playing out with friends rather than writing/composing my own music. This decision was driven by several things that I won’t get into, but mostly I became frustrated with the cost of decent keyboard/effects/drum decks, and decided to have fun playing keys without all of the button pushing. Oh, and I was really broke for a long time there. Nowadays I’m perfectly happy standing behind my rig and writing the music I want to make. Will I ever make any money from it? Doubtful, but if I was doing this for the money I would have quit a long time ago. An expensive education and my second career later, network engineering is the cash cow that let’s me buy the gear I need, AND I have way more fun not punching the arrogant asshole yelling because I’m not loud enough over a shitty mix I can’t fix. Anyhoo, this Squarp thing is rad.
