Hello,
I just wanted to ask if I’m the only one feeling confused with the way to copy a not or pattern being opposite
For notes you have to hold the pad and THEN press “copy”
For pattern you have to hold “copy” BEFORE you press the pattern pad
It’s not dramatic but it is the kind of thing a bit boring everytime you didn’t use it for some weeks to remind the good way

You just need to think this through…
There are, for instance, two ways to copy notes, each with a different purpose: i.e. holding copy first then selecting a note will only (and immediately) copy the note you touched, while holding one or more pads first allows you to select a region of notes to copy.
In this example, the former must function that way, otherwise the Hapax would just be sitting there indefinitely waiting for input, trying to determine which of those two objectives you’re hoping to accomplish.
On the other hand, touching a pad in Pattern mode is primarily meant to que, launch, or reset that pattern. Therefore, you must hold copy first in order to tell the Hapax to just copy the pattern, as opposed to executing any of those other pattern functions.
Cheers!
Ok thanks I understand better I was often going mad holding a pattern and THE copy and wonder why the method is not the same but once explained it is more clear
