# Program Change arriving too early or too late in Ableton Live

Good morning,  
When setting a program change in a pattern, I have noticed that it is arriving in Ableton Live either :

- before the first note (set at the very beginning t of the pattern), when the pre-send parameter is on

- after the first note has played, when the pre-send is off.

I would have expected the Program Change to be aligned on the grid, just as notes are.  
Is there a medicine for it ?

try to add an automation lane and send a program change on the grid position you wish.
