Pattern behavior with Effects

So, I am trying to compose a song and I am having some issues.

I apologize if this is not clear, but I will explain as best I can.

I have rows that have patterns without notes, with the idea being that this pattern/track should be muted in this row when triggered in “Play Song” mode, however when I play the respective rows, even though the pattern has no notes, it is playing sounds, which I assume are carry overs from the effects that are on the track?

What is strange is that this occurs on row 1 right from the start, so I can only assume that the effects are carrying over note info into the noteless patterns?

Is there anyway to completely mute a pattern? It would be great if by pressing the Row arrow button would bring up an option menu which could include muting patterns in that row.

I bet it was some generative effect, no?

I would suggest to Squarp to make the Effects button “light breathe” when there is an effect acting on the active pattern

You can mute a pattern while in pattern mode by holding Mute + pattern key
