Please note that for each drum lane and program there are actually more note values that can play the sound. So if for example you select a Program you will note that the BD triggers 36. If this were modified to 38 or 40 variations of the same kick drum will play. Below is an example of how the BD note values work:

BD: 36, 38 and 40.

As you can see the BD sounds are not assigned in perfect sequence because Nord decided to develop these patches with some space to add your own iterations to the note in between. On a standard keyboard the skipped the black keys, don’t ask me why those are my favorites. I don’t think it is possible to set a “range” to a drum lane, otherwise that might be nice.

So if your dialing in a BD you have more than one note to pick from.
