Is there a way i can change the sequence and then automatically start recording at the first step of the new sequence in a live performance?
Seq1(playing)=>Seq2(rec and play)

There is and there isnt.
No way to do this internally. You would have to create a MIDI loop. That is, have outgoing messages loop back into MIDI IN via a physical connection. Then all you need to do is send a couple of MIDI messages. Check the PyraMIDI chart.
