Yes, I have both connected to the MRCC from the A4. I assumed the MRCC’s task is to prevent midi loops when I am telling the MRCC to send messages to the A4 Midi in, but not allow messages coming from the A4 to the MRCC to go anywhere else, including back to A4.
If that’s the case, then there should be no loop originating on the A4. In any case, I’d recommend disconnecting Midi Out from the A4 and see if the problem persists. There might still be an issue with conflicting clocks coming from other devices. Have you disabled transmitting clock on all instruments but the Hapax? (assuming you want it to be the master)
I once used my A4 with transport via Overbridge and forgot to disable receiving clock via Midi at the same time. The result matched your description.
Both good points. I will try them both. I don’t really need the midi out from the A4 right now anyway.
Is it possible for me to sequence multiple lanes of midi over usb from the hapax?
This would make it easier for me to control multiple mpe synths via the hapax.
