Formatting squarp

Greets and Happy New Year,

I have a simple question regarding the SD card for the squarp pyramid.
Do I need/have to format the card to load up the latest firmware…mine currently is 3.22 version.

No that’s not necessary. I just updated mine without formatting the SD
