Currently there is a way to limit a track’s grid view to the project scale, or to set it to chromatic. It would be nice to have an intermediate option, where you can access all the notes, but those outside of the project scale aren’t lit up
I’m trying to get myself to switch from always working with a locked scale to a more chromatic approach, to be able to insert borrowed notes from other scales into my melodies, but i don’t feel comfortable enough with the Hapax keyboard layout and color code to rely strictly on me remembering which pad positions and colors match my current scale. This suggestion would provide a helpful guide to anyone in this position.
