Chord step input - How to make this work consistently?

This has been driving me nuts. I switch live mode to chord. I select a chord vocing I want and hold down “step” to switch to step input. In the left screen, I see the chord highlighted that I want to place in step mode next to the encopder on the 2nd from the top left. I press the encoder. The chord disappears from the display. I press the step where the chord should go and it inputs a single note.

What am I doing wrong here? I have made it work before but it’s not consistent at all. Can someone explain the proper way to do this?

im not a user of this workflow but it does sound logical and interesting. if it doesnt work, drop squarp a note so maybe we can get it working!

I’m struggling with this as well. I do find that when copying a chord the “missing” notes are out of the zoom area. So check out the zoom.

You only have to press the chord learn encoder once. Any new chords will be learned already. I learned this the hard way.

So I press it once and it still just puts in one note most of the time, I don’t get it.
