CC program change resets synth's parameters per rotation

Hi everyone,

I have a CC message set to change the program of my Dave Smith Mopho when I select a particular pattern on the squarp. The issue is, per sequence rotation, the CC message retriggers and thus resets the initial program parameters of the Mopho. Is there a way to only have the CC message trigger once when I select that pattern? Or is there something I’m missing?

What Run Mode are you using?
Perhaps try Run Mode: Trig?

Thanks for getting back to me @creepypants. Your suggestion wasn’t the answer I was looking for, but it put me on the right track.

I had input the relevant CC messages to change program via step mode, rather than the easier way of doing it via track mode. I only just realised that when consolidating midi FX, it also consolidates CC messages in the sequence, thus resending the new message every time the sequence restarts. I just had to delete the CC ‘notes’ and switch over to using Track mode Program change. Super simple in the end (as per usual).
