Any MPC owner tempted to go with Live III?

I think this would be difficult because these CC assignments would need to be programmed for a specific “Track” / “Program”. Like Modwheel CC1 on Track titled “Drum Program A” or “Soft Synth B” on midi channel 1 is going to be unique compared to any other synth, program, track, fx, etc.

Akai really f**cked this hardware up by combining Tracks / Programs. Imagine if I could actually assign midi CC messages to a “program” and use that program in any track for my project. </side rant>

For instance I could say that Mod Wheel is CC# but for what? A specific keygroup or track? A software plugin? It’s just crazy variable how you might setup your MPC.

It’s kind of the same for Qlinks. A QLink knob can be remapped within the MPC. If you’ve mapped a midi CC message to the QLink knob how will you know what it is controlling? That QLink will be reprogrammed depending on the context in which your operating the MPC.
