Only recently got my Pyramid , and have to say I’m really happy with it , as-is, it such a great device, really inspiring…
where was it mentioned that 3.0 beta was going to be released? i saw some mention of a mailing list… but how do i get on it?
my only wishes for 3.0, are those already mentioned (to help on 'live jamming/improv)
Looper, not having to stop the sequencer to activate, using on multiple tracks
so I can do multiple loops on different tracks, without having to predefine the length.
Double track, so if I have a 2 bar pattern, i hit double, and its now a 4 bar pattern
this allows you to create a basic pattern, then dup it, then alter it a bit, then rinse and repeat.
this makes variation easy, and prevents the silence you get, if you try to copy, increase length, then paste.
(another option would be to allow PASTE, to extend the sequence, that would be very cool )
Paste track, retain mute status
if you currently copy track 1 to track 2, it unmutes it … a pain, if you want to edit it before it plays.
Copy euclid to note pattern
copy the notes, so I can somehow convert from a euclid pattern I have , to a normal stepped pattern, which I can then edit (e.g. double it, to add fills, or add accent beats)
e.g. put in Euclid mode, play with it, hit 2nd+copy, switch to note mode, 2nd+paste.
FX state… would be nice, if this was included in either sequence state or pattern state.
e.g. so I can have a pattern , where an FX is disabled , or has different parameters - think chance/arps
the looper and double track would make a biggest difference for me, but even without - I just adapt my workflow to what the Pyramid does offer , but we can dream for 3.0
given how far the Pyramid has come, I trust squarp to bring what they can…
Ive been really pleasantly surprised how they have added so many features, and yet its still got a reasonably easy learning curve.
