Totally, it can get weird.
I’d go slow, and just try to connect one CC on one midi channel, and record that.
Once you get that sorted, you can expand and try a pile of other things.

Also the Blofeld in Multimode ( multi-timbral ) is very finicky with mibi CC and program change messages, so you might want to experiment with the non multi-mode first
